Accolades and Awards
Thanks to the Center's staff and supporters, we are proud to list some of our achievements:
In 1998, the Family Consulting Center was established within the SDC, before it became in 2002 an independent institution conducting a leading role in family consulting.
- In March 2000, the Center was honored during the celebrations of the Fifth Arab Gulf Week for Social Work and it was announced the leading social organization on the level of the Gulf countries.
- In March 2000, the center was honored by the Arab Gulf for its social services and leadership in Doha.
- In 2002, the Center was honored during the celebrations of the Sixth Arab Gulf Week for Social Work in Kuwait.
- On the 15th of March 2008, the Center was honored during the First Gulf Social Work Festival in Sharjah.
Honoring the following figures for their leading social work in the Gulf region and the important role they played within the Center:
- Ms. Mounira Bint Nasser Al Misnad, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, obtained the distinguished social services award on the level of the Gulf countries during the celebration of the independence day in Ajman in 2004.
- Dr. Noura Al Hanzab, Vice Chairman of the Board, obtained the distinguished social services award on the level of the Gulf countries in 2003.
- Sheikha Nada Bint Nasser Al Thani, member of the Board, obtained the distinguished social services award on the level of the Gulf countries in 2007.
- Ms. Mounira Bint Nasser Al Misnad, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the SDC, was chosen as the most prominent figure for year 2008 in the field of volunteer work.
