Area experts represent 7 SDC programs at Qatar Career Fair
Five SDC officials highlight the benefits of SDC’s host of training and professional development programs
Doha, Qatar, April 1: Demonstrating its commitment to the development of human capital in Qatar, the Social Development Center (SDC), member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, is raising awareness about seven of its key training and professional development programs at the Qatar Career Fair (QCF) this year.
Over the course of the fair, area specialists from the seven different programs, including First Step, Tanmia, Rasameel Funda, Reyada Entrepreneurship Award, Career Counseling, SDC Volunteering Program, and Tajmeel, will be available to equip job and internship seekers with expert career counsel, as well as educate them on the benefits of SDC’s various training and professional development programs.
“This is such a wonderful platform to interact with the youth and those individuals who are looking for greater challenges in their professional lives,” said Abdulla Al-Tamimi, Vocational Training & Development Manager (First Step and Tanmia).
“At SDC, we’re proud to be a part of this energy present here today, as experts and counselors, supporting prospective applicants as they explore the multitude of career options available to them at QCF,” he said.
Al-Tamimi is one of the five SDC officials who will be interacting with visitors at the SDC booth. Other area specialists include, Hamad Al-Sufar, Senior Entrepreneur Business Specialist; Marriam Al-Ansari, Head of Career Counseling; Noor Al-Muhanadi, Senior Volunteers Officer; Maryam Abu Nahl, Marketing Administrator – Tajmeel Qatar International Beauty Academy.
“From offering guidance on introductory level programs like First Step to advanced entrepreneurship training, the officials at the SDC booth are committed to making QCF 2012 is a truly rewarding experience for the youth,” said Amal Al Mannai, Executive Director, SDC.
“We are here this week to support and build upon the great work that has been done by the organizers of QCF,” she said.
One of the 29 Gold Exhibitors, SDC is participating alongside 150 public and private sector entities in QCF 2012, currently being held Qatar National Convention Center.
