Target Groups

Indirect beneficiaries

The indirect beneficiaries of the project is the Qatar business community in general including businesses that are already operating and Qatari men and women who would like to engage in a private initiative. In the long run, the population of Qatar as a whole will benefit from a more viable and dynamic contribution to private sector development, economic growth and employment generation.

Direct beneficiaries

The direct beneficiaries will be the SDC/ SMEDeC staff who will be trained on the development of training material, provision of training and group-based follow-up services as well as management and organization of awareness raising campaigns. In addition, a number of Qatari women and men will directly benefit from the project by becoming certified ILO/SIYB trainers upon satisfactory completion of their training requirements.
