The Department Theme:

Managing social services through the consistent approach toward sustainable resources in line with the SDC vision and mission, and supporting its goal in developing individuals and community in order to build stable and self-sufficient families.

1. Objectives and Plans:


Objective 1

1.1 Increasing pubic awareness of SDC and its attributes

Plan for achieving objective1:

  • Strategy Aim
  • Encouraging self-sufficiency and sustainability.
  • Promoting SDC's brand name as a key player among charitable organizations in Qatar.
  • Seeking new volunteers.
  • Raising attention toward the role of the SDC projects in society.

Strategic Action Plan

  • Consulting well-known marketing and media experts.
  • Building strong relationship with local, regional and international media.
  • Participating in local, regional and international SDC concerned activities.
  • Interacting and communicating with the community through television, radio and cinema programs, which present social programs, social advertisements and publications.
  • Developing and promoting the SDC website.

Objective 2

1.2 Creating new fund-raising tools

Strategy Aim

  • Providing steady financial resources for SDC.
  • Offering a good opportunity for Muslims to practice their religious rites (e.g. Zakat and Sadqat).

Strategic Action Plan

  • Establishing Al-Berr Endowment Compound.
  • Implementing of the project "continuing even if it is meager."
  • Organizing Qatar Call Campaign.
  • Publishing and editing the SDC magazine, Edafa.
  • Targeting present and prospective donors.
  • Organizing social activities for volunteer ladies.

Objective 3

1.3 Expanding and extending the existing donor database and continuous searching for new donors.

  • Advancing with steady steps and constructive moves to raise funds and achieve self-sufficiency.

  • Celebrating the QNB Annual Volunteers Award by PR Department.
  • Creating new activities to build strong relationships with donors.
