Studies to support women and activate their role

The applied and field studies are considered important tools for social surveillance and making of databases, which are relied on to properly define the needs of society.

In this regard specialized technical expertise is being received from Qatar or from regional or international organizations. In addition to the database information collected through the Social Service Department, SDC has prepared many studies, including:

  1. Technical study in the field of technical and vocational training for Qatari ladies. This study was prepared for training of women who obtained academic qualification less than secondary school. The study was prepared in cooperation with a German technical cooperation organization, GTZ.
  2. Study on "Qatari Women in Work-age Employment and Unemployment" in cooperation with the Economic Social Committee for Western Asia, ESCWA.
  3. Survey on matrimonial law in Qatar.
  4. Survey on the problem of divorce in Qatar.
  5. Survey on obstacles of voluntary work for the Qatari women.
  6. Valuation study on the strategy of SDC and a strategic plan for the future, in cooperation with ESCWA.
  7. Founding a training center for business, in cooperation with the International labor Organization, ILO, to train Qataris willing to deal in trade and establish small and medium-sized projects.
