Training and Placement

This division is responsible for building up a database showing the volume and types of training opportunities and job opportunities available in Qatar. The database includes information about the work market and its requirements that suit the classes enrolled for training and qualification so as to track suitable training and employment opportunities. Also, the division is responsible to secure training and placement opportunity agreements with Qatari companies, training centers and programs, and other governmental agencies.

Training and Placement methodology:

The process will take place according to the indicated sourcing and training and placement flowchart:


Training:

  • Vocational and technical training
  • Administrative training

Training methodology:

  1. Individuals will be enrolled in a five-week orientation/rehabilitation program called the First Step Program.
  2. When the program is completed, qualified individuals will be counseled to join training programs in either state-owned institutions or in Qatari private companies, in accordance with previously agreed-upon numbers and classifications, or training under small enterprises program for individuals, or SDC productive and investment projects.
  3. Follow-up will continue with the trainees during the training programs and until completion of on-the job training with partner companies.

Placement methodology:

The department will work diligently from the time trainees are accepted into a training program to find placement opportunities through mutual agreements with Qatari companies and other partners.
