The Concept of Volunteer Work

If volunteer work represents, from the social point of view, a humanitarian value, it is also a civilized conduct that depends on the broad culture of the individual and his willingness to take responsibility. The concept of volunteer work also includes personal choice and the initiative of the volunteer who aims to introduce social and humanitarian services to others.

Volunteer philosophy

Volunteer work, as a concept, means desire to giving offer services to others due to religious or other motives without being under pressure or expecting any benefit in return.

SDC vision on volunteer work

  • Compensates for SDC's shortage in staff and manpower.
  • Establishes ties between SDC and corporations and individuals on a regular basis.
  • Introduces deliberate and regular services to individuals.
